Frequently Asked Questions
What date does my subscription pickup begin?
It's difficult to know exactly when our flowers will begin to bloom. It all depends on the weather. We expect our Summer Bouquet flowers to begin blooming in mid-late June. You will receive an email one week prior to your first pickup letting you know that the subscription period, and pickup, will begin the following week. Fall subscriptions reliably begin the first week of August, but could be moved up/back by a week to take advantage of seasonal availability.
What should I bring with me at pickup?
When picking up your bouquet, you will need to bring a clean vase filled with a few inches of fresh water. Bouquets do not include buckets or vases.
What if I miss my pickup?
If you know you can't make it to your pickup you have a few options:
Send us a text or email letting us know who will be picking up on your behalf. (We can't give your bouquet away to someone else without explicit consent).
You can pick it up at the farm. Contact us to arrange a day/time.
Let us donate the bouquet for you. If we don't hear from you, we will donate it on your behalf to a senior care facility.
How big is my bouquet?
Your subscription includes a Premium Bouquet. It is larger than the mixed bouquets available from our farm stand and it is filled with the freshest, most beautiful flowers available on the farm. We can't promise exactly how many stems will be in each bouquet since bloom and stem sizes vary so much. It's also true that some flowers take much more work to grow and so they are priced higher than other blooms. We try to make each bouquet with about 15-20 stems.
Will each Bouquet be unique?
The thing I love most about flowers is the incredible variety of colors, shapes, textures, and fragrances that nature has made. The blooms used in your Subscription Bouquet will vary throughout the season, as flowers fade and new ones come into bloom. We generally use one bouquet design for all Subscription Bouquets in a given week. But occasionally you will have a choice between two or more designs.
Can I choose the flowers in my bouquet?
Sorry, I can't promise a specific color palette or flower will be available in any given week. But if you're following me on Instagram I do ask for input before I cut the flowers, so this is your chance to chime in. But again, I can't promise that your bouquet will include any specific flowers.
Does each bouquet come in a vase?
Subscription Bouquets do not come with a vase. Each one comes in a kraft paper sleeve and is hand tied for a beautiful presentation. You will need to bring a clean vase filled with fresh water when you pick up your bouquet. Flower care instructions will be included in your welcome email.
How do I care for my flowers?
Subscription bouquets are made using flowers that were cut the day before pickup to ensure that you have the longest vase life possible! When you subscribe, we'll send you detailed care instructions. Each bouquet comes with a packet of flower food to extend the vase life of your blooms.
Why should I subscribe instead of buying my bouquet at the farm stand?
The biggest benefit of a Bouquet Subscription is that these Premium Bouquets are larger and more voluptuous than our farm stand bouquets and they are arranged using the best blooms on our farm. Subscription Bouquets are wrapped in kraft paper and hand tied for a beautiful presentation. Bouquet Subscriptions are brought to a central pickup location for your convenience. Plus, Subscribers get early access to private events and discounts on merch.
Can I buy a Bouquet Subscription as a gift for someone else?
Yes! A Bouquet Subscription is a very meaningful gift that deepens the relationship between the giver and recipient. If you're purchasing your subscription as a gift, you can let us know at checkout and we'll mail you a gifting card/envelope that you can give to the lucky recipient explaining that they will be enjoying flowers in the near future!
Can I cancel my pre-paid subscription?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for a cancelled subscription. Subscriptions are sold in advance of the season so we can plan our crop, order seeds, and start growing them weeks before they will be ready to cut to ensure we have them available for our Subscribers. Once you order, your flowers are "in production" and therefore cannot be refunded.
What if you have a crop failure and flowers are not available?
In farming, stuff happens. Mother nature is the boss and She sends us a hail storm or insect infestation it can destroy a flower crop. If ever we are unable to cut flowers on schedule, you will receive a credit for a Premium Bouquet at a future date.
